It’s sure that you will not be surprised with our list of top places to visit, because they are the most famous tourist attractions of this magic city. Of course the first place to visit is Eiffel Tower. What a surprise to know most Parisians did not like the idea of building it in their city. A famous French writer Guy de Maupassant even tried to have breakfast in a cafe from which it was not seen.

We would also recommend to see Arc de Triomphe situated on no less popular Champs Elysees. It was built at the order of Napoleon who wanted to tribute his army.

Who wouldn't like to walk in Chateau de Versailles, the place which saw so many French kings and noblemen? It is located 17 miles away from Paris, but it is worth of seeing it.

It is nonsense to be in Paris and not to visit Louvre and Musee Cognacq-Jay. Both of them have impressive collections of paintings, ancient sculptures, etc. In the Musee Cognacq-Jay the tourists have a unique opportunity to see paintings of  Fragonard, Chardin, Boucher and sculptures created in the eighteenth century. Glass pyramid of the Louvre was built not long ago, but it attracts tourists very much, as well as legendary Mona Lisa and works by Caravaggio and Rembrandt.

Apart from the Louvre and Champs Elysees, Paris is associated with an impressive cathedral Notre Dame which is about seven hundred years. This cathedral built in Gothic style accommodates about six thousand people. Thanks to Viktor Hugo and his novel "The Hunchback of Notre-Dame" every tourist dreams to see it and imagine Quasimodo and Esmeralda standing on its walls.

One more Paris church is worth of visiting. We mean Sacre Coeur which is considered to be the whitest church in the world.

The Sorbonne University located in the Latin Quarter is the ninth sight in my list.
